Canoe Weighing and Beach Clean-Up this Saturday

— April 26, 2014 —

Aloha Kakou,
The annual canoe weighing will commence this Saturday morning at the Kai Opua Canoe Halau located at the Old Airport at 9 a.m. All canoes at the halau will be weighed and then the practice canoes at Kamakahou Beach. Muscle is needed to move the canoes on and off the scale.
There will also be a general clean-up of the beach area where the canoes are stored at Kamakahonu Beach. Please show your support by helping out either at the Canoe Halau and/or at Kamakahonu Beach. We will also be rigging the canoes for the club sponsored Businessmen's Regatta on Sunday. This is a good opportunity to learn how to rig via quick-straps.
Any questions, please contact Uncle Bo at 938-8577 or Mike Atwood at 937-3255.
